Superclass Tetrapoda

The clade Tetrapoda is the group of lobe-finned fish that include humans and newts but excludes other lobe-finned fish like lungfish, mudfish, and coelacanths. This group is broadly characterized by usage of their lobe-fins for terrestrial locomotion, however there are numerous lineages that have reduced their limbs and/or reverted to more aquatic lifestyles.
